The National Water Development Programme (NWDP) is a national program for the entire water sector. The African Development Bank’s financing supports the following NWDP components: Rural Water Supply and Sanitation (RWSS), Water Resources and Program Management and Capacity Building. This intervention modality was chosen because the components align to the bank’s Integrated Water Resources Management Policy, both of which contribute to implementing the National Water Policy, the draft National Sanitation Policy and the National Decentralisation Policy.
